Blossom trees, arched bars and a late one in Hockley: our Electric Garden and Hockley Social
Seventeen of us met in the Electric Garden, the rooftop room at Hockley Arts Club, with Claire and Sarah hosting.
If you have not been up there, it is worth the stairs. Blossom trees over the tables, fairy lights everywhere and a cocktail menu that takes a while to get through. It is a good room for a group because you can actually hear each other, which matters when half the people there are meeting for the first time.
The plan was always to see where Hockley took us, and it took us to Noire. It has not been open long and it is quite a place: tall arched bars lit up in gold, a big circular light over the stairs and a proper dancefloor. The music was mainly R&B and it did not take long before a few of us were on the floor. The photos speak for themselves on that one.
Thank you to Claire and Sarah for hosting, to the team at Hockley Arts Club for looking after us and to everyone who came out and made a night of it.
Meeting new people, sharing great moments and creating memories is what these evenings are about, and Saturday managed all three.
