A long table and a very good curry: our evening at MemSaab

Seven of us met for an evening at MemSaab on Maid Marian Way, one of the best known Indian restaurants in Nottingham and a place that has been getting it right for years, winning many awards.

The first thing you notice walking in is that it does not feel like a standard curry house. The room is dark and calm, the service is amazing and even the menus are worth a look before you open them.

Terry and Tünde hosted. Seven turned out to be a good number for dinner, small enough that the whole table could follow one conversation when it wanted to, and big enough to split into two or three when it did not.

The food did most of the work after that. Plenty of sharing, plenty of "try a bit of this", and the usual debate about who had ordered best. As always we split the bill, so everyone paid for what they had actually eaten.

Thank you to everyone who came along, and for the guys at MemSaab for looking after us so well.

Meeting new people, sharing great moments and creating memories is what these evenings are all about, and Friday delivered all three.
