Museum of Curiosities – A Journey into the Unusual

Our recent visit to the Museum of Curiosities was exactly what we hoped for, a fascinating, slightly mysterious, slightly odd, but a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We started the afternoon at Raglan Road Irish Bar, where the group gathered for a relaxed drink and an easy start to the day. It was the perfect way to meet, chat and set the tone before heading on to Museum of Curiosities.

Spread across four floors, the museum offered something different around every corner. From strange artefacts and unusual objects to intriguing collections gathered by a passionate explorer, there was plenty to take in and talk about as we made our way through the space.

One of the standout areas for the group was the collection of film and music memorabilia, including signed photos and iconic pieces that sparked plenty of conversation and nostalgia. It quickly became the room we spent the most time in, with everyone sharing favourites and memories.

Another highlight was the wonderfully quirky “Amazing Invisible Duck” exhibition - a fun example of the museum’s playful and unexpected nature and one that definitely got people talking.

As we explored, members shared reactions, pointed out their favourite discoveries and enjoyed the sense of curiosity that the museum creates. Some exhibits were surprising, others a little bizarre, but all added to the unique charm of the experience.

Afterwards, many stayed on to continue the conversation over a drink, rounding off the visit perfectly.

A truly different kind of event - interesting, memorable and a great way to experience something new together.
