Chapter Free – Books, Conversation & Great Company

Our latest Chapter Free evening was another relaxed and inspiring night, bringing together a mix of great books, interesting conversations and a welcoming group of people.

Set in the cosy surroundings of The Bath Inn, the atmosphere was perfect for an easy-going evening where everyone could share their latest reads, discover something new and enjoy a drink while doing it.

This month’s selection of books sparked some fantastic discussion, with a real mix of genres and perspectives around the table:

The House We Grew Up In - Lisa Jewell
A compelling family drama exploring secrets, relationships and the lasting impact of the past. This one led to plenty of conversation around family dynamics and how well we ever really know each other.

Adultery - Paulo Coelho
A thought-provoking novel centred on self-discovery, relationships and the search for meaning. It opened up deeper discussions around happiness, fulfilment and the choices we make in life.

Smokescreen - Robert Sabbag
A gripping non-fiction story diving into the world of international intrigue and deception. A great contrast to the fiction picks and one that sparked interest for those who enjoy real-life drama.

Down River - John Hart
A darker, more suspense-driven read, bringing tension and mystery into the mix. Perfect for those who enjoy something a little more gripping and atmospheric.

Think Like a Monk - Jay Shetty
A popular personal development book focused on mindset, purpose and living with clarity. This one resonated with many and led to some really positive and reflective conversations.
