Our recent Board Games Night at the Malt Cross in Nottingham, was another relaxed and sociable evening, bringing members together in one of Nottingham’s most unique venues. Set in the upstairs area of this beautiful Victorian music hall, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and perfect for an easy-going night of conversation and games.

We kicked things off with King of Tokyo, where giant monsters battled it out for control of the city, rolling dice, taking risks and causing plenty of laughs along the way. It’s always a crowd-pleaser and a great way to get everyone involved quickly.

The evening continued with Ticket to Ride, where the focus shifted to strategy as players built railway routes across the map, competing to connect cities and outscore each other. A mix of friendly rivalry and teamwork made for a great dynamic around the table.

As always with Affinity events, what really made the night special was the people. Everyone quickly settled into the relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to chat, laugh and connect throughout the evening.

Whether staying for a quick game or the whole night, it was another great example of how simple, shared activities can bring people together.
