Battle of the Bands – Metronome Nottingham

Our recent visit to the Battle of the Bands at Metronome Nottingham was a brilliant evening of live music and surprisingly, great conversation!

Featuring a line-up of student bands from Nottingham Trent University and Confetti, the night brought together a mix of rock, indie and alternative sounds, all competing for top spot in front of a panel of industry judges.

Hosted by Dean Jackson, the event had a great flow from start to finish, with each band bringing something different to the stage. From powerful vocals and tight instrumentals to confident stage presence, the standard was impressively high throughout the evening.

Acts like Cherry Stone and Super MegaDeath Robot stood out with strong performances, showcasing the depth of talent coming through Nottingham’s music scene.

For our group, it was a great opportunity to experience live music in a lively, informal setting.

Events like this are a great example of how Affinity mixes social experiences with local culture, giving members the chance to discover new talent, enjoy live entertainment and connect with like-minded people along the way.

A fantastic evening supporting local music and soaking up the energy of Nottingham’s creative scene.
