Pan-Asian sharing plates and easy company: our Evening Meal at Nōshi in Nottingham

Eight of us headed into the city on Friday evening for dinner at Nōshi, the pan-Asian restaurant and cocktail bar in Trinity Square. It is one of Nottingham's newer openings, and with a menu built around Japanese and Chinese flavours it made a great choice for a group meal.

Nōshi sits right in the heart of Trinity Square, with a bright, stylish setting and a menu that runs from small sharing plates through to proper mains, plus a cocktail list worth taking your time over. The sharing style suits an Affinity evening well, with plenty of dishes passed around the table and everyone getting stuck into something different.

Our host Claire had the group settled quickly, and with a mix of familiar faces and a few people joining us for the first time. As Kirsty put it afterwards, "I enjoyed the evening loads, great to get to know people better and meet new folks." That is exactly what these dinners are for.

As always, we split the bill fairly so everyone paid for what they had, and by the end of the night there were new friendships made and a few plans swapped for the next event.
