Peak District Walk & Sunday Lunch

Join us for a refreshing and sociable countryside walk in the heart of the Peak District.

Meeting Point: Milldale Car Park

Starting at Milldale we will follow the River Dove along a steep sided valley to Hartington.

In Hartington we’ll be stopping at the Devonshire Arms for Sunday lunch to replenish our appetites before returning to our starting point. The Devonshire Arms is a traditional, dog-friendly pub serving classic favourites, seasonal dishes and a fine selection of local ales.

The walk is approximately 5 miles long each way, taking around 2 hours in each direction. It is mostly flat and suitable for a steady, enjoyable pace. Well behaved dogs  are very welcome to join us, too!

Please note in the event of adverse weather conditions we may need to change the date for this walk.

Participation in this walk is voluntary and at your own risk. Participants are responsible for their own safety, fitness and the wearing of appropriate clothing and footwear. Affinity hosts these walks as social gatherings and cannot accept liability for injury loss or damage during the event.

When it comes to paying for the meal we endeavour to split the bill fairly so that you only pay for the food and drink that you have consumed.
